  • EuroKastle

Oscillator eurokastle / eurorack version of the bastl kastle / 10 HP ⇣ This is a Eurorack adaptation of the renowned Bastl Instruments Kastle – a digital synthesis playground. Embodying the full spectrum of Kastle 1.5 functionality, this version features subtle modifications to seamlessly integrate into the Eurorack format. KASTLE_BACK.jpg 1/3 key features Please check out the Bastl Desktop Synths for further details and consider buying one - it´s worth it! Use with Bastl Kastle or Drum Kastle Firmware Illuminated EuroKastle Logo Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 10 HP depth: 28 mm power: 47 mA @ +12V documentation videos description / manual Switching between OSC mode and Rungler mode has been streamlined with a convenient switch, eliminating the need for intricate cable patching. Furthermore, each functionality is consolidated to a single input/output, simplifying your setup. Notably, our EuroKastle boasts a unique Waveshape CV attenuator absent in the original Kastle design. While we highly recommend Bastl's desktop version, the EuroKastle can stand independently. You can independently source all the required components, without necessarily needing the original. It's important to note that the PCB lacks an AVR ISP header. To program the Attiny85 ICs, a prior flashing process is essential before they find their place in the IC sockets (a breadboard can be utilized for this purpose). The programming process can be completed using any AVR ISP programmer. Powering the EuroKastle is a breeze with compatibility with standard Eurorack power supply units. Version V2 introduces AVR Headers to the PCB's bottom for direct ATTiny programming on the PCB itself. The diode pads have been thoughtfully enlarged for an enhanced soldering experience. Additionally, the CV Sources are normalized to the CV Input switches, facilitating instant modulation without the need for external patching. In Version V3, we've incorporated a jumper that allows you to transform the Mix OR OUT socket into a TRIGGER INPUT for the Drum Kastle firmware, enhancing your creative possibilities. • Clanches

Modulation & Random clanches / branches with internal cv clock / 6 HP ⇣ CLANCHES is an 6 HP clock source and dual random gate. It is a modification of Émilie Gillet's module Branches. 1/3 key features Internal Clock Source Dual Random Gate CV Clock HOLD Function Probability CV Clock normalled to both Gates 3x LED Two separate Gate Inputs Probabilty CV Skiff friendly specs & downloads width: 6 HP depth: 28 mm power: 60 mA @ +12V / 35 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual The internal clock indicated by the LED located in the centre is normalled to both inputs of the random gate. If there is an external trigger patched to one of the IN jacks, this connection will be interrupted. The gate takes a trigger or gate as an input and routes it to either one of its two outputs A and B according to a random coin toss. You can manually adjust the internal clock rate. A Switch changes the range from slow over moderate to very fast. The CV input gives you the opportunity to use control voltages in order to adjust the clock speed. Any signal above 3V will vary the rate. If the signal drops below 3V the clock generator is forced to hold. This way you can generate very interesting rhythms by just patching a random signal or LFO into the Clock CV. The internal clock is furthermore supplied via the OUT jack. The two manual controls P1 and P2 and their corresponding CV inputs change the probability of a signal to be routed to one of its outputs. In extreme settings, the outcome is no longer random causing the module to behave like a voltage controlled switch. The two LEDs on top indicate which output of each channel has been selected to route the signal. In contrast to the original Branches module the two toggle switches simple change the behaviour if the P1 or P2 is set fully clock- or fully counter clockwise. If you hold the button for 2 seconds once the signal will be routed to A and B alternately with each incoming trigger. In normal mode the will just be routed to A (CW) or B (CCW). prev Up next

  • Phoebe

Mixer & VCA phoebe / 4-channel afl mixer with aux send / 18 HP ⇣ PHOEBE stands out as a highly interactive 4-channel mixer that seamlessly integrates into any Eurorack configuration, offering a tactile experience that complements diverse setups. 1/3 key features 4 Channel Mixer 4 x Mute / Level / Aux Send 2 x Send/Return (per Channel and Selected) AFL (After Fade Listen) via Headphone Out Smooth Transitions with Slider Pots Performance-Orientated Mixing Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 18 HP depth: 30 mm power: 70 mA @ +12V / 50 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual PHOEBE has four channels. Each channel has a MUTE switch, a LEVEL control and a SEND knob in order to use external effects. Underneath these controls there is the MIX/AFL Fader which determines if the signal should be routed to the MIX or the HEADPHONE output jack. In the top „MIX“ position the channel´s audio is routed to the MIX out. In the bottom „AFL“ position it is routed to the HEADPHONE out. AFL stands for „After Fade Listen“ and enables you to listen to the channels audio before you add it to the MIX output. It is similar to PFL (Pre-Fade Listen), but the signal is taken after the LEVEL settings in order to have a good mix comparison on the headphones. Imagine you are playing a live set and want to take a sound from the mix in order to add a new one from the same VCO later on. Simply pull the fader slowly from MIX to AFL in order to take it smoothly from the MIX out. Then change the sound, edit sequences etc. and listen to the result on the headphones first. Add the mix output signal to the headphones with the little MIX trimmer potentiometer and verify if the new sounds fits the mix. Then just push the fader up into the MIX position and the transition is complete. The upper position of the slider always equals volume that is set with the LEVEL knob. So it´s save to bang it up for breaks and cuts during your performance. You may adjust the headphone volume with the VOLUME trimmer potentiometer. In addition to the SEND and RETURN effect routing per channel there is also a second SEND S and RETURN S routing which lets you send the signal of several selected channels (via jumper on the back) with one knob at once. Both SEND/RETURN ways are active also when the channel is in AFL mode and not being supplied to the mix. This way you can add the effect return of a channel to the mix even if the original sound is currently not playing. All channels have dedicated GAIN trimmer potentiometers on the front. prev Up next

  • HH

Oscillator hh / analog hi-hat and noise generator / 4 HP ⇣ HH is a very simple, but handy little module that completes any modular drum rack. 1/3 key features Analog Hi-Hat and Noise Generator Internal Decay Envelope Internal VCA CV Control over VCA Offset CV Attenuator Adjustable Noise Colour: Brown, Pink, White Illuminated ST Modular Logo specs & downloads width: 8 HP depth: 28 mm power: 35 mA @ +12V / 25 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual HH is an analog Hi-Hat and Noise generator with an internal VCA and decay envelope. The Module can be triggered by a trigger signal at the TRIG Input. Using the DECAY potentiometer you can open and close the Hi-Hat. The ST Modular logo will flash according to the decay envelope. This may also be voltage controlled with any CV signal at the CV input. The voltage changes the internal VCA offset, but does not affect the decay envelope. The incoming voltage can be attenuated using the dedicated attenuator potentiometer. An LED indicates the current state of the voltage. Additionally you may also change the colour of the noise being generated with the COLOUR pot. Fully counter-clockwise the noise will equal Brown Noise with reduced high frequencies. At noon it will sound like Pink Noise, which is a bit louder at the low-frequency end of the spectrum, and softer at the high end. Almost fully clockwise it will be White Noise, broadly spread across the sound spectrum, sounding like a waterfall. Fully clockwise the noise will be boosted on all frequencies to have a more present noise spectrum. prev Up next
