Armed with a selection of electronic instruments, including a TB303, MC307, Micro Modular, and Xbase09, I embarked on a creative exploration that would come to define my artistic identity. Live performances became an integral part of my artistic expression, and I successfully transitioned to releasing music on esteemed labels such as Heimatmelodie, Karmarouge, Fortek, Broque, and Night Drive, etching my presence into the electronic music landscape. Sometime around 2010, I took the step of founding my own label, ST RECORDS . The journey began with the vinyl release "Whatever Happened," and to this day, it remains the platform through which I share my music with the world. Yet, my interests transcended performance and production, leading me down the path of curiosity. In 2015, a pivotal juncture in my journey arrived when I grasped the intricate mechanics behind sound generation, particularly concerning Schmitt Triggers and Operational Amplifiers. This understanding marked the genesis of a fresh chapter, propelling me into a phase of self-guided learning encompassing circuit board design, soldering techniques , and culminating in the construction of my first DIY effect pedals. The allure of the "do-it-yourself" ethos grew stronger, prompting me to deepen my knowledge, craft my own schematics, and experiment with prototypes on breadboards. As my passion for modular synthesizers burgeoned, I embarked on a new venture in 2017 — designing my own Eurorack modules, such as "Switched", "Triple Tom", "Cyllene" and "Franz". It can be used as a control voltage, clock source or patched into the audio path for drum synthesis. The frequency and the frequency range can be controlled by turning the frequency knob and rate switch. Additionally the width of the pulse wave may be manually adjusted. An LED indicates the current speed of the LFO. On the bottom of the panel you will find two touch plates. Using these you can “play” the LFO and become a part of the circuit. By pressing your finger onto the HOLD plate you will be able to stop and reset the LFO cycle. It will start over again when the finger is released. The second touch plate PUSH is altering the frequency of the oscillator. Roll your finger from the top side of the plate to the bottom and the rate will be increasingly speeded up. Or directly press you finger an all plate parts and go crazy! After releasing your finger from the PUSH plate the frequency will smoothly recover to its original speed set by the frequency knob. prev Up next

Freq has been put onto a small trimmer potentiometer to avoid any accidental change in pitch. On the bottom of the panel you will find all necessary jacks to control Pyxis via CV. Timbre, Morph and Freq have dedicated attenuverters to adjust the incoming CV signals. Yeah…but…where are the LEDs? Instead of always directly jumping to chord mode and watching the LEDs change, isn‘t it much better to listen and trust your ears to choose the right sound? Tweak the four potentiometers, change the program with the two buttons (Sound and Percussion Mode) and listen to the wide range of sounds Pyxis is able to generate.
