Oscillator eurokastle / eurorack version of the bastl kastle / 10 HP ⇣ This is a Eurorack adaptation of the renowned Bastl Instruments Kastle – a digital synthesis playground. Embodying the full spectrum of Kastle 1.5 functionality, this version features subtle modifications to seamlessly integrate into the Eurorack format. KASTLE_BACK.jpg 1/3 key features Please check out the Bastl Desktop Synths for further details and consider buying one - it´s worth it! Use with Bastl Kastle or Drum Kastle Firmware Illuminated EuroKastle Logo Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 10 HP depth: 28 mm power: 47 mA @ +12V documentation videos description / manual Switching between OSC mode and Rungler mode has been streamlined with a convenient switch, eliminating the need for intricate cable patching. Furthermore, each functionality is consolidated to a single input/output, simplifying your setup. Notably, our EuroKastle boasts a unique Waveshape CV attenuator absent in the original Kastle design. While we highly recommend Bastl's desktop version, the EuroKastle can stand independently. You can independently source all the required components, without necessarily needing the original. It's important to note that the PCB lacks an AVR ISP header. To program the Attiny85 ICs, a prior flashing process is essential before they find their place in the IC sockets (a breadboard can be utilized for this purpose). The programming process can be completed using any AVR ISP programmer. Powering the EuroKastle is a breeze with compatibility with standard Eurorack power supply units. Version V2 introduces AVR Headers to the PCB's bottom for direct ATTiny programming on the PCB itself. The diode pads have been thoughtfully enlarged for an enhanced soldering experience. Additionally, the CV Sources are normalized to the CV Input switches, facilitating instant modulation without the need for external patching. In Version V3, we've incorporated a jumper that allows you to transform the Mix OR OUT socket into a TRIGGER INPUT for the Drum Kastle firmware, enhancing your creative possibilities. Oscillator klangmaschine / dual digital fm synthesizer / 16 HP ⇣ KLANGMASCHINE is a powerful tool for creating a wide range of sounds, from simple sine waves to complex and evolving textures. It combines two simple frequency modulated synthesizers to create a very powerful and versatile digital sound source. 1/3 key features 2 Voice FM Synthesizer plus Noise Generator CV over all FM Parameters Tone Control Internal VCA Internal Mixer Individual Outputs Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 16 HP depth: 28 mm power: 98 mA @ +12V / 56 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual FREQUENCY MODULATION (FM) SYNTHESIS is a method of sound synthesis that uses the modulation of the frequency of one waveform by another waveform to create complex and evolving timbres. FM synthesis uses a modulator waveform to modulate the frequency of a carrier waveform. The frequency of the modulator is usually in the audio range, while the frequency of the carrier determines the pitch of the resulting sound. On both sides of the module are the parameter controls for the FM voices. The sliding potentiometers control FM AMT, FM FREQUENCY and PITCH. Each parameter can be voltage controlled. Attenuators control the amount of incoming CV. If nothing is connected to the CV inputs, the above CV attenuators change the response curve of the parameter sliders. Above the sliders is a TONE control, which lets you emphasize either low or high harmonics, and a VOLUME control, which affects only the MIX OUT. Connect your pitch CV to the V/OCT to play notes. The left V/OCT input is normalized to the right. In addition to the two synthesizer voices, there is a volume control to add white noise to the MIX OUT. You can either listen to the oscillators individually at the OUT jacks, or tap a mix of all three sound sources at the MIX OUT. If you connect an envelope CV to the VCA CV input, you can control an internal VCA. If no envelope CV is connected to the VCA CV input, the LED lights dimly to indicate that all three voices are being output at the MIX OUT. As the level rises, the LED indicates the volume level. If a patch cord is connected to VCA CV without CV, the LED is off to indicate that no signal is being output. If the VCA is opened via CV, the LED again shows the volume level. In the "Just a Minute - Live Techno" videos shown above I use KLANGMASCHINE for the lead sound. Have a listen! With three synchronized LFOs at your command, you're not just shaping sound, you're sculpting time itself. Perfectly in sync, precisely re-settable, and elegantly compact, this module elevates your modular experience to a new level of control and creativity. 1/3 key features Three Square and Triangle Wave LFOs Individual LFO Rates CV Attenuator per LFO Reset all LFOs in connection to single Trigger/Clock Clockdivider per LFO Selectable Clockdivision Rates per LFO Variation creates alternative Rythmical Reset-Patterns Skiff friendly Wrong polarity protection specs & downloads width: 8 HP depth: 30 mm power: 45 mA @ +12V / 32 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual Tryfelo has three LFOs that can be reset by a single clock/trigger signal. Each LFO produces either a triangle or a square wave selectable via switch. In the mid position of the switch the LFO is deactivated. You may change the LFO´s rate with the help of a dedicated potentiometer. There are also CV attenuators per LFO available. Three bipolar LEDs are indicating the current state of the voltages. The LFO rate available increases from LFO 1 to LFO 3. LFO 1 will produce fast oscillating waves, whereas LFO 3 will provide very slowly changing control voltages. LFO speeds may be changed individually by choosing different capacitor values during assembly. Each LFO is internally connected to a clock divider that will reset the LFO cycle in connection to an incoming trigger/clock and even holds the LFO value when the clock divider pulse is high. During a hold phase there are still slow voltage movements on low LFO rates to keep a pause interesting. This way you can connect the LFOs to a rhythmical context and create pauses in a very musical way. The clock divider needs a trigger or clock signal at the CLK input, that will be converted into a pulse to create these pauses/holds mentioned above. The length of the pulse depends on the speed of the clock. Slower clocks or clock divisions will create longer pulses. The incoming trigger/clock signal will be divided by 2 or 4 for LFO 1, by 4 or 8 for LFO 2 and by 8 or 16 for LFO 3 selectable via switch. The LFO reset may also be deactivated by setting the dedicated switches to the mid position. Each divided signal may also be taken from the individual clock outputs for further external processing. The RST input will accept any trigger/pulse/clock signal and resets the clock division for all LFOs. VARI accepts any control voltage and produces rhythmical variations of the clock divisions. These variations are not purely random, but will generate alternative trigger patterns in connection to the incoming clock/trigger signal prev Up next

Oscillator chiasso v2 / analog fm drum synth / 14 HP ⇣ CHIASSO V2 stands as an exceptional oscillator, perfect for generating dynamic Techno sounds that consistently captivate through each knob adjustment. In its V2 iteration, it retains the same exceptional sound foundation found in V1. However, V2 introduces innovative enhancements like CV decay inputs and an added noise source for oscillator A, promising even more sonic possibilities. 1/3 key features Two Analog VCOs Two LFOs SQUARE and TRIANGLE Waveforms for OSC and LFO Cross Modulation CV Decay Fade Potentiometer to adjust the Oscillator Mix Trigger and Pitch Normalization Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 14 HP depth: 28 mm power: 55 mA @ +12V / 35 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual The module has two oscillators that can generate square or triangular waveforms that you can seamlessly crossfade with the WAVE potentiometers. Each oscillator has its own CV decay envelope, a pitch potentiometer and can be triggered with a trigger signal patched to the left TRIG input as well as individually via the left and right TRIG inputs. A fade potentiometer offers the possibility to manually fade between both oscillators to adjust the mix. Noise can be added to the left oscillator A to make it a little dirtier. There are PITCH CV inputs with attenuators for each voice which, although they don´t track exactly 1 V/OCT, are very useful for changing the mood of each signal to create very organic and moving sounds. The audio output of each side is normalised to the PITCH CV input of the opposite side. The left side is connected after the VCA and the right side before the VCA to achieve different types of cross-modulations and to apply modulation according to incoming trigger signals. In addition, the module has two individual LFOs with square or triangular waveforms that can be fed to the oscillators for further frequency modulation synthesis. Both LFOs have an attenuator to adjust the strength of the modulation and a RATE potentiometer to change the speed of the LFO cycle. The signals of the two oscillators are mixed and output at the OUT socket. prev Up next
