ST Modular at the Beijing Modular Commune
Just wanted to share a few photos from the Beijing Modular Commune. The professional shots will be out later. It was a great weekend, 95 artists performed over three days, tons of exhibitors, and I have no idea how many people came through the event.
The Chinese name of the event, 模块交流方式, expresses its goal as an outreach event. It's free to attend and held in places where there is a lot of walk in traffic. People who don't know anything about modular synths, just curious about what's going on. I had two Euphorias and a Krakong, plus two ST Cases as the main gear for people to play with. Krakong is a little tough for new people to use, but Euphoria was loved by everyone regardless of experience.
My main solo set at the event was with Euphoria and a 84hp ST Modular percussion row: Clanches - Chasing Lights - Trommelmaschine - Chiasso V2 - EQ - Stereo Sum Mixer. Got a little noisy and weird, but it was fun.
