The multiple is normalised to the swap unit of the module. LFO The LFO provides a triangle and square wave and can be reset by an external gate or clock signal. The LFO signal can be attenuated with the slider pot and its rate may be varied with the RATE potentiometer. An inverted copy of the triangle wave is normalised to channel A1. An inverted copy of the square wave is normalised to channel B1. These connections are independent from the LFO attenuator and may be interrupted by patching a cable into the channel A1 or B1 input or by the normalisation selection switches. You can choose to normalise the LFO or a fixed voltage of 0V to +5V adjustable with the VOLTAGE knob for all channels at once. Attenuator/Mixer WORKBENCH has four channels A1, A2 and B1 and B2. Any signal (audio or CV) patched into the inputs are attenuated by the slider pots. The channels of each section are daisy-chained, thus they can be mixed or the second channel can act as an offset (CV). The normalisation switch selects which voltage will be fed into the input if no cable is being patched (LFO or fixed voltage 0V to +5V). Fader The Fader mixes between two sources with a single slider. Both channel sections A and B are mixed into a fader circuit, if no cable is inserted into their outputs and the fader inputs. The fader output can be attenuated with the LVL knob. Swap The Swap unit exchanges the destination of one or two sources with the push of a button. This way you can route two signals to the corresponding destination of the other input. Anything patched into the Mult will also be multiplied to the Swap inputs of nothing is patched here. USB Power WORKBENCH is powered by standard USB power (+5V) and is fully compatible with your Eurorack system. You can choose to power it with a Mini B, Micro B or Type C USB cable. You can solder all USB connect or just one of them, if you have a favourite USB cable you want to use. Up

  • CV Expert

Utilities & PSU cv expert / dual polarizer, offset & gain with LFO / 4 HP ⇣ CV EXPERT is a very compact yet powerful CV tool that is equipped with all the important functions you need to customise your control voltages. With its internal LFO, it is immediately ready for use without further patching. 1/3 key features 2x Polarizer 2x Offset 2x Gain Triangle or Square Wave LFO Internal normalizations Low HP format Skiff friendly Wrong polarity protection specs & downloads width: 4 HP depth: 30 mm power: 50 mA @ +12V / 32 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual CV Expert (Cve) is a versatile dual-channel tool for customizing control voltages. Its internal LFO is normalised to both inputs and allows you to choose between a triangle or square wave via a jumper on the back. The LFO connection is automatically interrupted when an external CV is inserted. Adjust the LFO rate with the LFO RATE potentiometer. The signal received at the DC-coupled inputs IN ① and IN ② passes through three CV tools: Polarizer The PLRZR potentiometer enables voltage attenuation and inversion. At the midpoint, the signal is eliminated. Turning to the right allows the original voltage to pass through (as with an attenuator). Turning to the left inverts the signal, e.g. positive signals are converted into negative signals. Offset Adds or subtracts voltage from/to the passing signal. OFFSET control determines the offset range. In the center position, there is no voltage offset. Turning the control to the right shifts the voltage to the positive range, while turning it to the left shifts it to the negative range. Gain Amplifies the signal with a maximum gain of 2 at the GAIN control's maximum position, effectively doubling the applied voltage (e.g., +1V becomes +2V, +3V becomes +6V, or +4V becomes +8V). The voltage is capped at a maximum of +/-10V. CV EXPERT QUICK START GUIDE: CVE_QUICK_START .pdf Download PDF • 422KB prev Up next

  • HH

Oscillator hh / analog hi-hat and noise generator / 4 HP ⇣ HH is a very simple, but handy little module that completes any modular drum rack. 1/3 key features Analog Hi-Hat and Noise Generator Internal Decay Envelope Internal VCA CV Control over VCA Offset CV Attenuator Adjustable Noise Colour: Brown, Pink, White Illuminated ST Modular Logo specs & downloads width: 8 HP depth: 28 mm power: 35 mA @ +12V / 25 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual HH is an analog Hi-Hat and Noise generator with an internal VCA and decay envelope. The Module can be triggered by a trigger signal at the TRIG Input. Using the DECAY potentiometer you can open and close the Hi-Hat. The ST Modular logo will flash according to the decay envelope. This may also be voltage controlled with any CV signal at the CV input. The voltage changes the internal VCA offset, but does not affect the decay envelope. The incoming voltage can be attenuated using the dedicated attenuator potentiometer. An LED indicates the current state of the voltage. Additionally you may also change the colour of the noise being generated with the COLOUR pot. Fully counter-clockwise the noise will equal Brown Noise with reduced high frequencies. At noon it will sound like Pink Noise, which is a bit louder at the low-frequency end of the spectrum, and softer at the high end. Almost fully clockwise it will be White Noise, broadly spread across the sound spectrum, sounding like a waterfall. Fully clockwise the noise will be boosted on all frequencies to have a more present noise spectrum. prev Up next

Just like Franz, Werner is a filter with an internal mixer and LFO. It is not as buttery as Franz, but still one of the best filters around. It has all the functionality of the original Ripples module, but also provides a 3-channel MOOG CP3 transistor based mixer and an LFO with Triangle, Square and inverted Triangle outs, that are normalized to CUTOFF and Q. These connections are interrupted as soon as external CV is plugged into the corresponding CV inputs. The small trimmer potentiometers CV/FREQ and CV/FM will attenuate the amount of the LFO voltage affecting the filter frequency. CV/FM is a bipolar attenuverter (positive and negative). CV/Q will set the amount of CV affecting the resonance. If you want to switch off the LFO, set CV/FM to mid position (12 o´clock) and CV/FREQ and CV/Q fully counter clockwise. Connections: LFO Triangle Wave --> CV/FREQ, LFO Square Wave --> CV/FM, LFO Inverted Triangle Wave --> CV/Q There is also an LFO RESET input in order to restart the LFO cycle. This way you can synchronize the CUTOFF movements to a rhythmical pattern. Released under cc-by-sa-3.0 license: Pichenettes Mutable Instruments prev Up next

  • Cinco

Oscillator cinco / five oscillators in a module / 14 HP ⇣ CINCO consists of a series of five oscillators that can be controlled in pitch from a single source. It generates drones, chords and massive walls of sound that stand out impressively from classic single-wave oscillators. 1/3 key features Five Analog Oscillators 2x Saw or Pulse and 3x Saw Waves Individual Pitch Controls Single CV Pitch Input Transpose all Oscillators Internal Mixer Individual Outputs Pulse Width Control (OSC 1 & 2) FM Inputs (OSC 3, 4 & 5) Skiff friendly Wrong polarity protection specs & downloads width: 14 HP depth: 30 mm power: 65 mA @ +12V / 43 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual Cinco boasts five analog oscillators capable of generating drones or chords comprising five notes, accessible from the MIX OUT socket. Each oscillator's tuning can be adjusted independently using the TUNE and FINE controls. Simultaneous pitch control for all five oscillators is facilitated by patching CV to the CV ALL input. Moreover, the TUNE ALL knob allows for collective transposition of all oscillators, with the range of transpose amount adjustable via a trimmer located on the module's rear. While Cinco wasn't specifically designed for precise 1V per octave tracking, you can achieve close approximation by calibrating tuning using trimmers located on the module's back. The first oscillator is slightly tuned below the rest, while the last oscillator is slightly tuned above. The fixed oscillator tuning can be changed with optional capacitors on the circuit board. Oscillators 1 and 2 offer a choice between a SAW or PULSE waveform, each selectable via dedicated toggle switches. Pulse width adjustment can be done manually using the PLS WIDTH knobs or via CV modulation. In the case of CV modulation, the PWM knob controls the intensity of the modulation. It's important to note that these PWM knobs aren't attenuators; hence, incoming CV cannot be completely deactivated for pulse width control but can be reduced to a pleasant level. Oscillators 3 to 5 exclusively output a saw waveform and include additional frequency modulation inputs (FM IN). Applying voltage to these inputs modulates the frequency (pitch) of the oscillators. The FM AMT controls determine the degree of CV influence on the frequency. Similar to previous controls, the FM AMT knobs aren't attenuators, meaning full left rotation won't completely eliminate FM, but rather reduce it to a minimal level. Notably, the FM IN input of oscillator 3 is normalized to the other FM inputs. This facilitates pitch control for oscillators 3 to 5 alongside the primary CV ALL pitch input. If desired, this normalization can be disabled by desoldering an SMD bridge located on the back of the PCB or by connecting dummy cables (patch cables that are not connected further) to the other FM inputs. Utilize the five LEVEL controls to precisely adjust the volume of each oscillator or completely deactivate them by turning the controls fully counterclockwise. Additionally, each oscillator is individually outputted via the OUT sockets located at the bottom, allowing for further isolated processing of the signals with external modules. Importantly, these individual outputs are not affected by the LEVEL controls and typically produce louder signals compared to the mixed output. Cinco isn't just a source for rich and harmonically versatile analog sounds; it's also capable of generating harsh and earthshaking waveforms, particularly when utilizing the FM inputs.
