  • Radio

Oscillator radio / analog fm radio with autoamtic cv channel search / 4 HP ⇣ RADIO is an analog FM RADIO with an automatic channel-search functionality. It supports a frequency band of 83,5 - 114 MHz, has a built-in frequency control with signal quality evaluation and runs with automatic noise suppression. It is a never ending sound source and a great companion for your Eurorack sampler or audio mangler. 1/3 key features Analog FM Radio Automatic Channel Search with Signal Quality Evaluation Automatic Noise Suppression 83,5 - 114 MHz Bandwidth CV Control over Channel Search or Reset Volume Control Gain Stage at the Output Illuminated ST Modular Logo specs & downloads width: 4 HP depth: 28 mm power: 18 mA @ +12V / 10 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual By pressing the buttons CH- and CH+ you can activate the automatic channel-search function up or down the frequency range. If a signal passes the internal quality evaluation the search is ended and the radio signal is available at the OUT socket. If you want to change to another radio station channel-search is also accessible via CV. Simply patch any gate or trigger signal into the inputs CH- and CH +. Two LEDs indicate of a trigger or gate signal is applied. Channel changes can be really quick, if there are good signals close to each other on the frequency band. If the signal is bad the search automatism may need more time to find good signals leading to slower channel changes. The RST button resets the search to the lowest frequency. After reset you will receive some really nice radio noises until you proceed to the next proper channel again. You can also route the CH- CV input to RST via jumper on the back of the PCB. The module has two volume buttons for quick level adjustments. Additionally it has an active GAIN stage adjustable via trimmer in order to raise the maximum volume to modular levels. The patch-cable connected to the OUT socket acts as an antenna. It´s best to choose a long cable and move it around until you receive the best signals. prev Up next

  • Rocinante´s Gate

Filter & EQ rocinante´s gate / simulated low-pass gate with lfo and envelope generator / 10 HP ⇣ Rocinante´s Gate is not a classical low-pass gate (LPG) using vactrols, but goes way beyond that providing an adjustable envelope to control the "gate" through an analog filter. Sending a gate or trigger signal into the GATE INPUT will create these envelope shaped sounds you know from other LPGs. 1/3 key features Low-Pass-Gate based on an Analog Filter Internal Envelope Generator Adjustable Rise, Decay, Length, Fall Stages Internal LFO Gate Level CV Loop Mode Re-Trigger Mode Use the Envelope and LFO with External Modules Skiff Friendly Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 10 HP depth: 28 mm power: 54 mA @ +12V / 26 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual The LOWPASS knob adjusts the range of frequencies being affected by the gate. If you turn it fully counter clockwise the whole frequency spectrum will be gated. Turning it clockwise will slowly add low frequencies to the gated singal until the whole spectrum is not affected anymore. ENV AMT sets the amount of how much the internal envelope affects the low-pass gate. RISE sets the time how long it will take the sound to go from silent to the loudest level. Just like the time it takes an LED inside of a vactrol to start lighting to its full potential. DECAY controls how long it takes to go from an initial peak to the "gate-phase" level. The length of this phase is varied by the LENGTH potentiometer. Finally FALL changes the time your sound will need to return to silence after the "gate-phase". Just like the time it takes an LED inside of a vactrol to shut down. RESONANCE sets the amount of filtered audio being fed back into the filter input. It can´t go into self-oscillation, but is able to create very crunchy and juicy overtones when turning clockwise. The internal Trigger Generator is being controlled with TRIG RATE and the RE-TRIG/LOOP SWITCH. Adjust the rate of the trigger and apply the singal to either a re-trigger circuitry that repeats the "gate-phase" as long as a gate signal is being applied or to a loop functionality that will create cycles of gates without an external gate or trigger. The ENV/INV SWITCH enables you to alternatively route an inverted envelope to the low-pass filter. This way you may create "ducking" or "side-chained" sounds. An internal triangle LFO can be routed via the LVL ATT attenuator to vary the amount of envelope that is being passed to the gate. The LFO will be deactivated if you turn the LVL ATT attenuator fully counter-clockwise or if you use an external signal to control the envelope amount by patching a CV signal into LVL CV. In addition to the Audio IN and OUT jacks you may take the signals of the internal envelope and LFO from the ENV OUT and LFO OUT to control external devices. In combination with the loop function Rocinante´s Gate is not only a Low-Pass-Gate, but also an LFO and ADSR Generator. prev Up next

  • LFOT

Modulation & Random lfot / touch control lfo / 3 HP ⇣ Low Frequency Oscillator featuring an extensive frequency range and a tactile touch control capability. 1/3 key features LFO with 3 Waveforms Sine, Square and Pulse waves LFO FREQUENCY potentiometer LFO RANGE switch Adjustable Pulse width Two touch plates to play the LFO HOLD function PUSH function Wrong polarity protection Skiff friendly specs & downloads width: 3 HP depth: 28 mm power: 49 mA @ +12V / 47 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual The LFO provides three voltages in shape of Sine, Square and Pulse waves. It can be used as a control voltage, clock source or patched into the audio path for drum synthesis. The frequency and the frequency range can be controlled by turning the frequency knob and rate switch. Additionally the width of the pulse wave may be manually adjusted. An LED indicates the current speed of the LFO. On the bottom of the panel you will find two touch plates. Using these you can “play” the LFO and become a part of the circuit. By pressing your finger onto the HOLD plate you will be able to stop and reset the LFO cycle. It will start over again when the finger is released. The second touch plate PUSH is altering the frequency of the oscillator. Roll your finger from the top side of the plate to the bottom and the rate will be increasingly speeded up. Or directly press you finger an all plate parts and go crazy! After releasing your finger from the PUSH plate the frequency will smoothly recover to its original speed set by the frequency knob. prev Up next

  • Influencer

Modulation & Random influencer / multiple random cv generator / 14 HP ⇣ INFLUENCER offers a versatile collection of CV tools and creative unpredictability, divided into five distinctive sections, each serving a distinct purpose. With an array of modulation sources and an added touch of uncertainty, INFLUENCER stands as your comprehensive CV powerhouse. 1/3 key features 5x CV Generators Internal Clock & LFO CV Fall Envelope Sample & Hold/Track A/B Comparator Smooth Random CV Noise Out Input Normalisations specs & downloads width: 14 HP depth: 28 mm power: 110 mA @ +12V / 65 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual The TOP SECTION is the VC INTERNAL CLOCK and TRIANGLE LFO. The rate of the clock and LFO can be controlled by the RATE knob or CV. The clock signal is normalised to the trigger input of the FALL section. The TRIANGLE wave at the WAVE socket is also routed to the WAVE/RNDM SWITCH of the FALL section. When the switch is in the upper position and the attenuator is turned to the left, the wave will affect the FALL length. In the lower position, the FALL CV is slowly randomised. The SECOND SECTION is a FALL ENVELOPE GENERATOR. It can be triggered internally or externally and its fall time can be controlled by the FALL TIME knob or by CV. An inverted version of the fall output is also available. The THIRD SECTION is the SAMPLE & HOLD section. In one mode, it can sample and store a voltage from the FALL CV socket and output it at the SP OUT socket when the gate at GATE is high (Sample & Hold). In another mode, it can pass through the incoming voltage when GATE is high. It then samples and stores the last voltage applied when GATE is low (Sample & Track). The modes are selected by the MODE switch. The STEPPED potentiometer controls the level of the incoming CV signal. Internally the CLOCK is normalised to the GATE input. The CV input can be fed by an external signal, an internal SMOOTH RANDOM CV or by internal NOISE. Please note that this section may produce noise bursts in Sample & Track mode. The FOURTH SECTION is an AND / OR COMPARATOR that compares two mixable inputs and outputs the MAXIMUM CV and MINIMUM CV of both. It also generates a GATE at B-GATE if IN B is greater than IN A. Note that MIN LED barley flashes with low CV levels. The LAST SECTION is a DUAL SMOOTH RANDOM CV GENERATOR. It provides a constantly changing CV at SMOOTH I and SMOOTH II, slowly meandering in about 60 second cycles. The SMOOTH CV input will affect the SMOOTH outputs in unpredictable ways, sometimes not at all. Internally there is another SMOOTH RANDOM GENERATOR which is normalised to the RNDM switch position of the FALL section, the CLOCK CV and the SOURCE switch of the SAMPLE & HOLD section. Like the others, this SMOOTH GENERATOR may or may not be influenced by the INFLUENCE input. NOISE OUT allows access to the internal NOISE GENERATOR. You could also use the module as an OSCILLATOR. • Serial

Sequencer serial / shift register sequencer / 8 HP ⇣ Serial is a sequencer that generates random gates and voltages, allowing for seamless looping with a specified step length. It excels at quickly creating and cycling through random voltages while simultaneously producing up to 8 gates. 1/3 key features 8-Step Analog Sequencer Outputs 8 Gates and 1 CV Signal Sequence Randomly or Looped 4 Different Lengths Length CV External Clock Manually Add or Delete Notes/Gates CV Out Level Control Wrong Polarity Protection specs & downloads width: 8 HP depth: 30 mm power: 55 mA @ +12V / 21 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual The CLOCK input takes any voltage (CV & audio) and generates clock pulses according to a voltage threshold that can be adjusted by a trimmer on the back of the board. Turn it to the left to lower the threshold and increase the probability that low voltages will generate a clock signal. This clock is used to drive an internal shift register that reads a voltage level generated by an internal noise generator and synchronises it to the clock. The generated noise can also be taken from the NOISE output. If you plug something into the CV IN socket, this voltage is mixed with the noise source and locked to the sequence with every clock pulse. This way you can influence random notes with an external CV. When voltages are locked to a clock, a gate corresponding to that clock signal is generated and passed in series to the GATE OUTPUTS. In addition, a main trigger pulse is available at the PULSE socket. At the same time, the locked voltage is passed on to the CV OUT socket (e.g. to be routed to a 1V/OCT input of an oscillator). Adjust the level of this voltage with the AMOUNT knob. Use the ADD or DEL button to manually set or remove locked voltages in the sequence. You will notice that you can only add a note if you press ADD at the same time as a clock pulse. By pressing the LENGTH button, you can choose the step length of the sequence between 4, 6, 7 or 8 steps (the picture shows step 5, which was later changed to step 7). You can also change the length via CV. Please note that changing the step length can also lead to different output voltages at CV OUT, as it reads the voltages from different clock pulses. Use the RNDM/LOOP button to loop a sequence or create a random new series of voltages and gates. SERIAL QUICK START GUIDE: SERIAL_QUICK_START .pdf Download PDF • 532KB prev Up next

  • Once In A While

Utilities & PSU once in a while / 3-channel mono, 1-channel stereo CV click-less mute / 6 HP ⇣ Tired of muting with all the drama of a Shakespearean tragedy? Say goodbye to the click drama with our click-less mute module. It's like giving your modules a chill pill – no more dramatic exits, just smooth audio bliss. 1/4 key features 3-Channel Mono Mute 1-Channel Stereo Mute Click-Less Muting based on Vactrols STRIKE Buttons for Performance Mutes LED Indication MUTE or GATE Mode for Channels 1-3 Wrong polarity protection specs & downloads width: 6 HP depth: 35 mm power: 25 mA @ +12V / 14 mA @ -12V documentation videos description / manual ONCE IN A WHILE is a 3-channel mono and 1-channel stereo mute switch with CV control. Any audio or CV signal fed into the IN jacks and taken from the OUT jacks can be muted and unmuted with a latching MUTE button per channel. If a channel is not muted, you can also mute it momentarily with the dedicated STRIKE button. Conversely, you can unmute a mono channel with the same STRIKE button if it is muted (this is not possible with the stereo channel). LEDs indicate whether a signal is being passed. You can also use CV signals to mute channels. Just connect a gate, LFO or envelope to the CV inputs and the channel will be muted from a voltage of about 2 volts. Even if you apply a control voltage to the CV inputs, you can mute the signal with the MUTE (latching) or STRIKE (momentary) buttons. Before soldering the module, you can decide if you want to use one of the mono channels alternatively as a low-pass gate. It's a single resistor you need to change and a mono channel becomes an LPG when a CV signal is patched into its CV input. So if the channel is muted, it will be unmuted again when the CV input is high. Mute mode = CV mutes the signal when it is not muted. LPG mode = CV unmutes the signal when it is muted. The first input is normalized to the other inputs. Therefore, you can also use ONCE IN A WHILE as a 1 to 4 buffered multiple with individual mute switches. ONCE IN A WHILE was designed to provide click-free muting for audio signals, but has become much more performance-oriented with the addition of momentary STRIKE buttons and CV inputs. It was optimized to be used with the VTL5C9 Vactrol. You can also use other vactrols, but then you may get clicks when muting audio. prev Up next

  • Envoltura

Modulation & Random envoltura / dual analog envelope / 14 HP ⇣ Experience the classic charm of analog envelopes based on the Roland System 100M 140 Dual ADSR module, made snappier with intuitive visual controls. Furthermore, thanks to its built-in VCA, manual level controls, potent cyclical gate generator, and user-friendly trigger buttons, ENVOLTURA elevates your sound-sculpting prowess to new heights. When a gate signal is applied to the GATE input, the envelope is triggered, and a corresponding CV signal is produced at the OUT, with an inverted version available at the INV output. Furthermore, an end-of-cycle GATE signal can be accessed from the EOC socket, which outputs a gate signal when the sustain phase of the envelope ends. The signal remains high until the start of the next attack phase. The gate is indicated by an LED. You have also the flexibility to retrigger the DECAY phase of the envelope by applying a trigger signal to the RTRG input. IN addition to manual level adjustment via the slider level potentiometer, you can modulate the envelope's level using an internal VCA by patching a CV signal to the VEL input socket. An exclusive attenuator enables precise control over the level modulation. For dynamic modulation, simply patch any CV source to the PUSH inputs and manipulate both the envelope's length and level. Fine-tune the overall length range with the SLOW/FAST switches, and if desired, activate the CYC switch to let the envelopes cycle within specific ranges. Please note that cycling may stop for very fast cycles and that the envelope doesn´t restart from 0 volts. Finally, you can also trigger each envelope manually. Please note that both ADSRs are normalised to each other, so that pressing a button always triggers both envelopes, unless a patch cable is connected to the gate input of the other. The HUM PROTECTOR HP200 is probably the most compact stereo hum eliminator on the market. It reliably protects your audio signal from any noise and hum. hum protector hp200 / hum and noise eliminator / 0 HP ⇣ The HUM PROTECTOR HP200 is probably the most compact stereo hum eliminator on the market. It reliably protects your audio signal from any noise and hum. key features 1x Stereo or 2x Mono Compact Design No Power Required Easy to Solder documents "Finally I have no more USB noise in my setup!" "I have never had such a compact and good noise eliminator." videos description / manual Offering either two mono channels or one stereo channel, the device comes in two variants. The initial version incorporates a more economical and compact SMD audio transformer, whereas the alternative version integrates larger through-hole audio transformer with marginally superior specifications. Despite this distinction, both iterations are recognized for their commendable audio quality, exhibiting no discernible differences. From a technical standpoint, audio transformers serve to electrically isolate connected devices, effectively eliminating noise and hum in the audio signal path. The HP200 functions as a desktop unit, eliminating the need for valuable HP (horizontal pitch) in a Eurorack case. Its versatility extends to modular setups, as well as compatibility with grooveboxes, samplers, and other synthesizers, particularly those powered via USB. To eliminate hum or noise when connecting your synth to a mixer for example, just insert the HUM PROTECTOR between the devices by connecting the synth output to the HUM PROTECTOR input and the HUM PROTECTOR output to the mixer input. This should resolve the issue. You can also utilize it to eliminate noise from an audio interface by connecting it to the interface output and the monitor's input. Will there be a full size jack plug version? Probably not, as the product is designed for Eurorack and USB-controlled devices that typically use 3.5 mm jack plugs. In addition, there are already numerous versions with full-size jack sockets. Up
