Hi Stefan/all. Thinking of getting a custom case built for a Krakong. Was wondering if anyone can let me what the minimum depth I would need, assuming that I am going to build the psu board as well.
Hey mwmac,The height could vary slightly depending on the capacitors soldered, but for the KRAKONG board, you'll need at least 30 mm (the tallest parts are actually the power connector and jumper headers), and for the PSU, an additional 30 mm to allow space for mounting screws or adhesive bumpers to secure the PSU board to the case. You could design the case with a sloped profile: 30 mm at the front and gradually rising to 60 mm at the back, where the PSU board is located. In general, I recommend purchasing a custom case only after you've successfully built the unit, so that you can take accurate measurements yourself.Cheers,Stefan
Great, thanks for the detailed response!
